Greg Larson Wins 2016 Akiak Dash!

Greg Larson of  Napaskiak crossed the Akiak Dash finish line at 8:24:47 AM to be crowned the 2016 Akiak Dash  Champion!  Larson finished the race on Saturday evening with an elapsed race time of 6 hours  24 minutes and 47 seconds with 7 dogs for a grand prize of $3,500 .  Thomas Carl of Akiak finished behind Larson at 8:43:23 AM with an elapsed time of 6 hours and 43 minutes.  Carl will take home  $3000 for his efforts.  Rounding out the top 3, Katie Lam of Bill Eisenbart Kennels finished at  20:49:55 with 7 dogs, for an elapsed race time of  6 hours and 49 minutes.  Lam will earn  $2000 for her 3rd place finish.

John Simon finished 4th with a time of 20:51:12 and will take home at $1,200.
