Martin is a 2-time K300 champion (’94 and ’07), 4-time Iditarod champion (’92, ’94, ’97,’02), and 2007 Kobuk 440 champion. Martin won his first K300 in 1994 and still holds the record for fastest K300 finish for that race, with an elapsed time of 37 hours and 4 minutes. 2016 marks his 19th K300 and 17th consecutive K300. His family includes wife Kathy and sons Rohn (K300 champion ’12 and ’14) and Nikolai.
