John Baker

John Baker was the 2010 K300 Champion and 2011 Iditarod Champion.  John has raced in 14 K300s where he has an impressive track record.  He has 11 Top-10 finishes (’97, ’98, ’01, ’06, ’08, ’09, ’10, ’11, ’12, ’14, and ’15) and has won the Sportsmanship Award twice (’08 and ’11).  John placed second in the 2012 K300.  John won the 2011 Iditarod, breaking the race record by three hours.  In the Iditarod, John has finished in the Top-10 thirteen times and in the Top-5 six times.  John has raced in numerous other races throughout the state of Alaska and has also won the Kobuk 440.  His family includes son, Alex, and daughter, Tahayla.
